Can I tell you a secret?

I never dreamed about becoming a young adult fiction author when I grew up.

I thought I wanted a normal life but the universe had other plans for me.

After a diagnosis of bipolar disorder in my early 20s, new dreams took flight and all of them were about becoming an author. And that brings me back to how it all started with Mabel Hartley.

When I was seven years old I was sent to an all girls boarding school in England. My experiences there, at Sibton Park, inspired me to start writing this series. The rest has come from Mabel. It is her story and I am proud to tell it.
