One week down, one week to go!

We are on Spring Break in this fair land of islands and early spring. But this year it’s two weeks long. That’s why I haven’t been blogging this week, sorry! Two children under the age of 11 have kept this Mummy very busy with shopping for new school clothes, taking them rollerblading in the sunshine, navigating a grocery store in a place I don’t usually call home and generally getting into the swing of having my two kids home with me has been BUSY.

But this weekend I got a reprieve and they went to their Grandma’s house with their Dad. And what pray tell did I do? I had the most glorious French class yesterday and love that I am now in an intermediate/advanced class!!! YES YES YES.

I went shopping and found new boots at Old Navy that I’d talked myself out of buying before and now found them on sale for $9.99. YES

I saw one of my buds and caught up with her in the Village and then visited with another who has just moved. To top it all off, my glorious neighbors, Ken and Donna had me over for homemade pizza and wine last night. YES.

Icing on the cake today was yoga with my favorite friend and teacher Tasha and she got me up into a headstand. YES

So friends, one more week and I start a new part-time job at the local newpaper as a reporter, which I am so excited about. Research on the next book will continue but I will spread my wings a little and find some new adventures closer to home.

I’ll be back later in the week to say hi, and let you know what I’m up to. Until then, Namaste!

  1. Congrats on your new job at the newspaper! Thats where I started out right out of school! It does rush you about some but we always say we don’t need time to write, we just need a deadline. Good luck!
