This is me at my Granny’s desk, with my laptop. I thought you might like to see where I write and work and this is it!
I have to say that for all the hats I wear as a writer and publisher my favorite job is collaborating to create a cover.
As a writer you work for years on a story and then you get to take people inside your mind to see what’s been hiding out in the dark there.
By far the biggest question I have to ask myself is would Mabel like the cover? But how would I know that, I mean she’s a character in my head?
The way I know we’ve done her justice is a feeling I get in the pit of my stomach that’s almost euphoric.
Anytime something great happens in my life I get that feeling. It’s like my body’s way of saying to my mind, “Wake up, Jane! Or you’re going to miss this great moment in your life.”

We’re getting so close that I can’t believe this cover has come along so quickly! Love the collaborative process and love Donna Murillo!
