There is a first time for everything and with my kids away for the day at sailing camp I thought I might try to read all my YA fiction stories in the series in one day.

As a writer, it’s a bit of a nailbiter to see if the 3rd story words with the first two. I haven’t looked at it since I finished writing it two weeks ago.

So the verdict is in, and I was on the edge of my seat to get to the end of Mabel Hartley 3.

The story is more Mabel in every way and I crossed lines that I haven’t crossed before. This story is definitely darker than the first two, but it rings true and left my fingertips tingling with the feeling of can I really write this and leave all this in? I can. Coming to you for Christmas!
