Last week my writing took a backseat to taking care of my son who got a nasty infection in his leg. But we made a new friend out of the bargain, a student from Barcelona, who joined us for some family time and told us all about Catalonia, the region she’s from in Spain.

My son loved looking at his world map with her and dreaming of Northeast Spain.

Good news, our friend is off on her next adventure today, and my son is back at school with a normal looking knee.
