Elated today as I finished the first chapter for my third Mabel Hartley story. The first word, the first sentence, paragraph and page not to mention the first 13 pages are a bit like a trip to the dentist. You are so relieved when it’s done.

And it feels so good to be back in writing mode where every sentence is a surprise. You can plan every chapter as much as you like, but when the writing begins, you have to jump on and enjoy the ride. Things that seemed so important in your notes fade to the back burner and little details can become very important.

Needless to say, I feel quite happy and excited to work on Chapter Two this week before Easter comes to our house.
