And this is how the Madeleines turned out

feb 12 006bYesterday, I made the first batch, with a lemon glaze, and after I poured the glaze all over, I offered them to my children and both of them said, “well we don’t really like the taste of lemon very much,” and refused to take more than a small bite.

My heart was crushed, but I thought maybe they’ll like them with just icing sugar. So I took the remaining batter from the fridge and Voila! These delightful (I want to say cookies) but I’ll call them Patisseries emerged from the oven and I have to say, I prefer the lemon glaze but what a treat!

Pretty spectacular, wouldn’t you say?
