Fascinating to see a show on PBS about uncovering ancient construction secrets in Petra, Jordan.

A team using 3D laser scanning technology shows us ancient staircases and an open six-sided structure at the base of the Monastery, one of the most magnificent structures from antiquity.

Mabel Hartley, with friends Tabitha and Hugh will travel to this region in my next story, The Crusader’s Hoard. Great for me to get some more insight on where they’re headed and what they might find while they’re working as summer students with an archeology program.
