Something I’ve been looking forward to all week is the coverage of our Prime Minister’s trip to Washington to see Barack Obama. I was glued to the National last night and I poured over photos today and yesterday. The ultimate was watching them hold a baby (it made my day). The thought that like attracts like, and for a brief moment in time, (I think there are 10 months left) we get the best of the best together. I am thrilled.

It’s no secret that I have a huge crush on the President and he has taken over several pages of my scrapbook. He had me at “hello.” So when I see the energy between the two leaders I have to take a pause and admire the view. These are great men, with the best values and clearly devoted to making our world a better place.

I love the fact that this is the first State Dinner for Canada in over 25 years. We are finally doing something right. I wish I was there but I will be tuning in tonight for all the glorious details.
